About this blog

I have created this blog as an attempt to create a place where I can share some of my thoughts on what I hear, see, and think in my professional life.

This ranges from practical examples, practises, and maybe the odd frustration from behind the firewall, to more philosophical thoughts on how the online realm could evolve in the future.

Since I work with a big corporate intranet you shouldn’t be too surprised if quite a few posts are related to intranets in one way or the other.

All this seen with the eyes of a corporate webmaster…

Why “Connaxions”?

That’s not a real word, is it? No. You are absolutely right. It’s a simple combination of the words “Axon” (part of the nervous system that conducts electrical impulses between cells) and “Connections”.

I came up with it during a social media seminar and ever since it has grown on me. Although constructed I find it quite appropriate for this blog since this will be about people, technology, and how these connect and that connection does not only happen on the tactile level when you touch a computer, but also changes your behaviour.
